Hello, this is Teresa Zavala, Public Information Officer for ONWASA. Residents and
Businesses in the Town of Holly Ridge may experience low or no water pressure until
approximately 4:00 p.m. today due to a major leak at the intersection of S. Dyson and
Hwy. 50. ONWASA crews are onsite and working as quickly as possible to complete this
emergency repair to restore water pressure to the Town.

Following the restoration of water pressure, the Town of Holly Ridge will be affected by a
precautionary boil water advisory. This is strictly a precaution, there is no indication of
any contamination in the system. ONWASA advises residents to boil water used for
drinking, cooking, brushing teeth or preparing food for a minimum of 1 minute. There is
no need to boil water for showering or bathing.

Once water is restored, it will be at least 24 hours until laboratory testing is completed to
ensure the system is operating normally.

For questions or concerns, visit www.onwasa.com/boilwater or call 910 937 7518.

We appreciate your patience during this inconvenience.
